Quality Certification

TRUSS QUALITY CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

To accomplish its purpose, the WWTABC provides a comprehensive Quality Certification Program for its members. The Program is the product of years of accumulated knowledge of many individuals within the industry.

There are two major components of this program:

ü internal in-plant quality inspections and,

 ü     external quality audits

Inspections and audits are performed in accordance with the standards established by building codes. This provides purchasers the confidence that a quality program designed to provide a continuous high level of truss quality commensurate with local jurisdictions is in effect.

Truss plants are inspected by WWTABC inspectors who perform unannounced spot-check inspections (quality audits) on the trusses, the materials, and the workmanship. Plant employees at every level are involved with the audit, and any non-conformances that may arise are reported immediately.
